Councilmember Shawn Connolly
Shawn has served on the Hamburg Town Board since January 2020.
In addition to his work as a Town Board member, Shawn has been a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional since 2000. Shawn is a partner in the wealth management firm Jensen, Marks, Langer, & Vance. The firm manages over $1billion in assets, serving businesses and individuals across the United States.
He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), The Certified Planning Board of Standards (CFP®), and the Financial Planning Counselors of WNY. He has been recognized as a qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an elite organization of the world’s leading financial services and insurance professionals.
Shawn earned a B.A. degree from State University of New York at Fredonia and an M.B.A. from St. Bonaventure University. He also received a Retirement Planning Specialist designation from the Wharton Business School of the University of Pennsylvania.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ECMC Foundation as co-Treasurer. Shawn’s past community service includes serving as Co-Chair for the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County Tocqueville Society, Chairman of the St. Francis High School Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the Network in Aging of WNY, and the United Way Leadership Society. In 2009, Shawn was recognized with Business First’s 40 Under 40 Award for his community involvement.
Shawn and his wife Amy have been married for 25 years. They enjoy doing community volunteer work, exercising, traveling, and spending time with their children, Patrick, Molly, and Clare, as well as their dog, Hazel.
