Karen Hoak began a career in the engineering and construction industry in 2007 and has worked on various projects across WNY providing safe, functional roadways and bridges for the traveling public. Elected in 2019 to the Hamburg Town Board as a Council member representing over 60k residents in the Town that Friendship Built. As an elected official responsible for collaborating on the annual budget and the passage of local laws Karen serves as liaison to the Police Department, Public Safety Department, Domestic Violence Department and Planning Department. Councilmember Hoak serves as liaison to several Town committees including the Domestic Violence Advisory Board, the Veteran’s Committee and is the founder of the Hamburg Coalition for Equity and Inclusion.
