SCAM ALERT
The Town of Hamburg Police would like to inform the public about a telephone scam we have become aware of. We have been made aware that scammers have used technology to spoof their phone numbers to make it appear that the call is coming from the Town of Hamburg Police. The caller then identifies themselves as a member of our agency and asks the victim for money. Please note that the Town of Hamburg Police will never call you to request money for any reason. If you receive a call similar to the one described, please contact our dispatch immediately at (716) 648-5111 ext. 0 or call 911 to report the report.
