The Town of Hamburg Police Department has designated two (2) parking spots in front of the police station as a Designated Safe Zone.
The Town of Hamburg Police Department encourages the use of this safe exchange zone for buyers and sellers who use Craigslist, Facebook Market Place, Offerup and other E-Commerce apps.
- The safe exchange zone is meant for person-to-person transactions, property may not be dropped off and left unattended.
- Sellers are required to take their property with them if the buyer does not show up.
- The exchange of drugs, weapons, alcohol and other illegal items is not permitted.
This designated safe zone can also be utilized for child custody exchanges.
- This location is under 24-hour video surveillance and is recorded and monitored by the Hamburg Police Department 24/7.
