Community Policing / Crime Prevention Unit

The goal of community policing is to reduce crime and disorder by carefully examining the characteristics of problems in neighborhoods and then applying appropriate problem solving remedies.

Honor Guard

The Town of Hamburg Police Honor Guard Is dedicated to the memory of each and every officer that has made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their community.

Marine Unit

The Town of Hamburg Police Marine Unit is responsible for marine law enforcement and boating accident investigation and management.

Narcotics Unit

The Town of Hamburg Narcotics Unit handles a diversity of cases involving illegal drug trade.

School Resource Officer (SRO) Program

A primary purpose of the SRO is to ensure the safety of the students and faculty as they assume the role of "peacekeeper" in the schools to maintain a safe learning environment.

SWAT Team

The Town of Hamburg SWAT team consists of 13 officers. Each officer receives special training and equipment to respond to high risk calls, such as barricaded and armed subject or drug search warrants.
